Can I get a fever and sore throat from my first outbreak of genital herpes?
alex v asked:
I think that I may have genital herpes and I was just wondering if it is normal to experience a mild fever and sore throat from it? If it is how long does the fever and sore throat usually last?

Yes, flu-like symptoms are common with the first outbreak. They last a few days.

If you think you have it then it is a good time to see a doctor so it can be diagnosed correctly. If you do have it they have medication that can help control it. Herpes shows up as liquid filled blisters that usually will end up rupturing (being more painful then the blisters). GO TO THE DOCTORS! By the way – if you do have it, know who you got it from without a doubt, and they did not tell you before having sex with them – then you may be able to get a lawyer and go after them for your medical costs.

Yes, it’s possible to have all sorts of other random symptoms related to your outbreaks.
If you have insurance, go to a doctor while the outbreak is still visible so that the doctor can take a swab and find out if it is actually Genital Herpes (they cannot diagnose it through a blood test). If your insurance covers prescription medication, they will probably prescribe you Valtrex (which is over $500 without insurance).
If you do not have insurance, get to a clinic (like planned parenthood) and get swabbed and diagnosed. If you can’t get a discounted prescription for it, you can take L-Lysine to help combat it (it’s a vitamin or herbal remedy that you can get at any store that sells vitamins and herbal supplements…my aunt takes it)

Eliminate Genital Herpes
Yes. Whenever your body is fighting a virus or infection you’ll definitely get fevers or flu symptoms. It may last a few days but what gives you the impression it’s herpes? Did you see bumps on your partner?

Yes you can. I had a fever of about 101 and aches all over my body with my first out break. You can probably get a sore throat as well but I don’t remember having that.
If it’s genital herpes you might have other symptoms like painful itching, burning or tingling sensations around your genitals, burning when you pee and or trouble peeing, swollen genitals and shooting pains down south. But if it’s a mild out break you may just get flu like symptoms and or some thing down there that feels like a bad rash.
Out breaks can last a week or two depending on the severity and if your using medication or suppressive therapy.
If you have an out break or any other symptoms then you may want to get to a doctor and have them test you for herpes.

There’s only one way that is easy and 100% will cure your sore throat fast, using regular salt. Take a salt shaker and shake it 2 to 4 times straight to your throat every 2 hours. Very important to do it before your bedtime and throughout the night if you wake up. I’ve tried this, it’s like a miracle. I found this here they have a video how to do.
