if you have it, then you can transmit it to anyone at anytime. You don’t have to have an outbreak. The body starts shedding the virus for a good week before an outbreak appears, so you don’t know when you are contagious or not, there fore you have to behave as if you are always contagious. Do not perform oral sex or you can give her genital herpes, and she will not thank you for it.

If you have genital herpes, then yes, she can catch it even when you’re not experiencing an outbreak. There are things you can do to lower risks, like using supressive medications, but the risk will always be there.
If she does catch it from you, she will get oral herpes (cold sores), not genital herpes. A lot of people already have the oral herpes virus. She may already have it and not know it, a lot of people have the virus but don’t show symptoms.
Dental dam is a sheet that can be put over the vagina when a man gives a girl oral sex.
You won’t go to jail even if you do give her herpes.

a dental dam? wow how romantic. please just use valtrex and you won’t spread it. it makes transmission almost impossible.
