MJ asked: Ok, lets say a female that gets cold sores/fever blisters gives u oral unprotected, but at the time of giving you oral she had no signs what so ever of a cold sore. lets say that after oral you had sex and she had a yeast infection. is it possible for the guy to have contracted herpes? Or a yeast infection?? does there have to be a cold sore present in order to get genital herpes?

Lauren asked: My bf has genital herpes. He hasn't had an outbreak in 2 months. I've been reading on medical sites and they say that the person can still pass it onto you even though they haven't had an outbreak. How is this possible? It just makes me really paranoid.

bob d asked: Just a rule of thumb approx. time frame. It's been about 8 weeks since I had unprotected intercourse with a girl that I was unsure if she had any STD's, but in the past 8 weeks I have had NO FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS, no rashes and no signs of genital herpes. Is it safe to say Im probably home-free?

Tim asked: I've had this rash on my lower legs for the two weeks. I had sex with someone before who I later found out had genital herpes, but I had two blood tests for herpes since which both came out negative.
Lately I've been getting a small red spot around my hip and a few on my lower legs and ankles, but I don't know if it's herpes or skin that's been irritated from scratching (I tend to scratch my skin when it gets dry and itchy in the winter).
So is it possible to have herpes on the lower legs or is it most likely something else?
