I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and a few days later developed sores on my vagina. I went to the gyno and took a culture test and I am still waiting for the results but it looks like textbook herpes. My boyfriend got tested the next day and is still waiting for his result, but was tested a month earlier and did not have any STD's. Is it possible that I contracted herpes from my previous boyfriend and my first outbreak occur 2 months later?

When I asked my then gyno what it was he said I probably was having a sensitive reaction to a certain kind of soap. I'm 21 now and I still get the sores, i've been trying to use non-allergic soap and it doesn't work. I'm wondering if its herpes because I usually get the one sore in the same spot over and over again...it bleeds and itches a lot. Is this herpes?
